Join Nature at McMaster and plant native species, keeping ornamental plants from taking over an adopted park! This is day 2 of the planting!

Event Overview:
Plants from peoples’ gardens may look pretty, but they invade natural spaces, choking out some beautiful native trees. Help Nature at McMaster plant other species in the area, providing food and shelter for native wildlife!
To be Planted:
- Round leaved dogwood
- American black currant
- Blue-stemmed goldenrods
- Large-leaved aster
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, November 8th
- Time: 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
- Location: Meet at the Bertrand Russel Archives (88 Forsyth Ave N, Hamilton, ON L8S 4E4) – Nature at McMaster staff will help guide you to the planting site at the back of the building, but please show up on time at 1:00 or email us at nature@mcmaster.ca if you have any difficulties finding us!
Bring/Wear:
- Comfortable, closed-toe, durable shoes (mud proof if you have any)
- Long pants and long socks
- Ensure you wear clothing and shoes that you will not mind getting dirty
- Water bottles
- Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses
- Bug spray
