Dr. Sigal Balshine will present Hamilton Harbour’s Invasive Round Goby on Saturday 7 March at 7:30 PM, in the Ewart Angus Centre of the McMaster Medical Centre. This is a free talk, and all are welcome!
“What happens when an invasive fish species like the Round Goby becomes established in environments like Hamilton Harbour and the Great Lakes? Dr. Sigal Balshine explains how her team is identifying the Goby’s effects on the harbour ecosystem and how best to manage them.
Dr. Sigal Balshine, a professor in McMaster’s Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour, is also an affiliated member of the Department of Biology. Her research centres on evolutionary behavioural ecology with a special focus on sociality, breeding system evolution, and anthropogenic impacts on behaviour.
