Hendrie Valley Nature Sanctuary is a 100-hectare sanctuary centered on the Grindstone Creek Valley and features over 4 kilometres of trails. The area backs onto the RBG’s largest cultivated garden, Hendrie Park, which, at a size of 22 acres has 47,000 individual plants of 1,500 types! With over 12 themed areas, Hendrie Park features a rose garden, vegetable garden, sculpture collection and more. Hendrie Valley is also a great way to connect to other RBG areas including the Laking Gardens.
For Hendrie Park, access is only during RBG hours and general admission fees apply. For the Hendrie Valley Nature Sanctuary, trails are free when accessed by bus, bike or walking, however, fees may apply for parking at any of the trailhead and admission fees apply for when accessing any of the cultivated gardens.
