Located behind the alumni field, this outdoor space and classroom serves as a memorial to Les Miller, Manager of Operations and Facilities in the Department of Athletics & Recreation from 1988 to 2007.
The space, which can hold up to 30 students, takes advantage of the University’s close proximity to Cootes Paradise, providing a rejuvenating nature space for relaxation and observation. Miller’s Grove is filled with pollinator-friendly native plants and also serves as a butterfly sanctuary and rain garden, while also helping students and local youth learn about the ecology of the area.
To book the outdoor classroom space, contact the McMaster Athletics and Recreation Department (reconline@mcmaster.ca) or use the online booking form.
Millers Grove is located on campus beside the ALTITUDE Compound by Parking Lot H.
