Event Information:
Do you love the great outdoors?
Do you want a break from your busy routine as a student?
Join us for our restorative planting and invasive species removal event. While planting trees on campus, we’ll explore how cycles found in nature relate to stages in our own lives. We’ll celebrate our successes as we near the end of term, by reflecting on our personal wins and enjoying a free pizza meal. And we’ll think about new beginnings and what lies in store for us up ahead. Take this opportunity to reflect in nature, restore your energy, and give back to the environment!
Note: this event requires physical labour such as digging with a shovel.
We provide all the tools – shovels, extractigators, loppers and gardening gloves (although you are welcome to bring your own).
Schedule:
2:30PM: Meet at MUSC 215
3:00PM: Go to Lot P and begin planting
5:30PM: Finish planting
6:00PM: Head back to MUSC 215 for pizza and mindful reflection
8:00PM: Event ends
