Looking for diversity? Mountsberg features extensive wetlands whose landscape supports various natural habitats and a bird-watchers paradise. In particular, during the Spring and Fall migration, thousands of bird species flock to Mountsberg to enjoy the wet terrain, rolling meadows and dense forest.

Fun fact! Mountsberg is home to the Douglas G. Cockburn Raptor Centre, an educational facility that has been open to the public since 1994. Currently, it is home to 15 different species of rescued native birds of prey. Although many injuries, of the birds housed in this facility, were unfortunately, caused by human activity; the centre offers education on how to reduce harmful impact to birds and their habitat.

Soaring, flying, swooping: grab some binoculars and visit Mountsberg, the bird-watchers paradise!
