The Hamilton Naturalists’ Club is a non-profit organization with over 600 members dedicated to the study, appreciation and conservation of our wild plants and animals.
The Club traces its history to the founding of the Hamilton Bird Protection Society in 1919. Our early achievements include the designation of Cootes Paradise as a nature reserve in 1927, and the organization of 34,000 children in Junior Audubon Clubs across Canada during the 1930’s. We celebrated our 85th anniversary in 2004. If you are interesting in bird recordings, click here to listen!
